There are more hair wearers than you'd imagine. We've come a long way, but they've been popular more than a century. We all know men and women wore specialty wigs throughout history, but most of your favorite actors and celebrities might not have been that sexy icon without hair.
WHAT IS A HAIR SYSTEM?
It's a custom made hairpiece, a prosthetic. Real hair is woven into a base and then either taped, clipped or glued to one's scalp. Dyed and styled to blend in seamlessly to with your remaining hair. When it's done right, it's just like you have a full head of hair. Of course, their are bad and cheap systems out there that are downright scary.
I BOUGHT A SYSTEM FROM ANOTHER VENDOR. CAN YOU SERVICE MY HAIRPIECE?
The answer is, usually yes. Dilianna has experience with a vast amount of vendors and is familiar with the systems base and hair. Of course, if you've literally destroyed the piece, it might be time for a new one. But yes, we'd be happy to service, style and maintain your hair piece from another vendor.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I EITHER "SELF SERVICE" MY HAIR SYSTEM OR COME IN FOR MAINTENANCE?
Again, this depends on the individual .. And your body chemistry. Some people sweat or play physical sports and put more wear and tear. We can help you determine what is right for you.
HOW LONG DO HAIR SYSTEMS LAST ?
Again, up to the individual. Anywhere From 1 to 2 months, but we also have clients who come in for regular service and have gotten a year or more out of a hairpiece. It's up to your lifestyle. Do you have a demanding, physical or outdoor lifestyle?
WHERE DO HAIR SYSTEMS COME FROM?
Just about 95 percent of the hair systems are made overseas. They are made with real human hair except there are a few systems with white or grey hair that are not made of natural hair.
